Accounts - Fuel Account

Fuel account

The fuel account is a built in system account that can not be deleted, but can be modified.

The fuel account DOES NOT affect any of your stats or calculations. The purpose of this account is to help you keep track the balance on your fuel card..

The fuel account can be used in two ways.

1) Use the negative balance for unlimited accounts:
Whatever fuel you buy is charged to the fuel account. If you start with 0 it will cause the account to show negative value. This value is what you Owe on fuel. Once you pay the fuel card off you can enter that as a positive adjustment to the account thus bringing the balance back to 0. This way anytime it shows 0 it means you owe 0 on fuel, else you owe whatever it say. If you have positive balance (overpaid) then you have credit on fuel account.

2) Use the positive balance
Using positive balance is handy when you are fueling with your own credit card. In this case set your initial account balance to the limit of your card. Then when you buy fuel it will deduct money from the account. When you pay the card off, add a positive adjustment to the account balance to bring it back to the card limit. (or to the amount available for use on the credit card)

This account just like any other account can be printed out based on the time frame selected. The records will show all your fuel purchase transactions.
