Brokers and Customers
Address book
Fairly simple thing. Allows driver to
store customer dispatcher and broker records.

Creating a record
When you create a record make sure you
select the proper type. If this is a dispatcher or a broker record
flag it as dispatcher or broker. The dispatchers and brokers will
appear in on the [Trip Sheet / Load Assignment] drop down list as
well anywhere in the software where you can search a trip record by
dispatcher or broker.
When you create a "customer"
type record it will appear on the drop down list for [Trip Sheet /
Stops] screen. The other way to create a customer record is directly
on the [Trip Sheet / Stops] screen.
[Invoices] screen also has a customer /
dispatcher / broker drop down list box. That list contains all the
entries in the address book because Invoices can be sent to either
broker or customer.
Google maps
The "Look up Google Map"
feature requires Internet connection. If the address of the customer
is entered properly and Google has this location in their database
the software will start up your default Internet browser and load in
Google map of the location. You can then use the Google map to view
bird-eye photo of the location and see how to get there, if there is
an overnight parking etc.
Searching customer records
The search is case sensitive, so "Bob",
"BOB" and "bob" are three different searches.
You can search by partial name. For
example: you are looking for "Johnson Bros Bky Supply (San
Antonio, TX)", so you can type
"ohnson" (no quotes) which is
partial name from "Johnson Bros Bky Supply (San Antonio,
TX)". The search will return anything that has "ohnson"
in the name.
You can also search by phone number, by
contact name or by address. The same partial search rules apply.
There is way to export your address
book for use in another computer running Nautilus IV. On how to do
that read [Data back up and
restore] section
