Equipment Maintenance records

This screen looks different in Nautilus III

In Nautilus IV the maintenance records are combined to one screen instead of multiple screens as it was before this version. The form is rather self explanatory: The driver enters the date the service was performed, the cost if any, warranty or not, selects the truck and or trailer number, enters the odometer reading, hours if the unit is APU or a reefer unit Vendor, and location, service type (PM, Grease, repairs, tire service, parts purchase etc) time start and end, the service performed and notes if any.

ALL of those fields with the exception of Service performed and truck or trailer number are optional.

If there is a cost associated with the service the driver can settle the payment against a [savings account] (Maintenance account). If there driver settles the payment against the system [running account] "Cash" then the cost for the service will also be shown on the [Trip Sheet - Expenses]. Services settled against [running account] are deducted directly from the trip dated closest to the service date.

If this is a PM service the odometer reading will affect the alert screen displayed on the [Trip Sheet - Load Information]. Every time driver enters another state line record under [Trip Sheet - Odometer] the truck odometer counter will be incremented but only if the value entered is grater then the value stored. The PM service record will store the odometer reading for the last service and affect the counter, thus resetting it. If you entered a too high of a number and messed up the counter it can be reset under [Preferences - Equipment]

For example. Your odometer reading is 150,000 and you had your last service on 132000, your service interval is set to 15,000 and so at this point you are over due. Now you do the service and you make a mistake by entering you odometer as 1,500,000 instead of 150,000. So your last service counter is saved at 1,500,000. The alert screen will be fulled and will not alert you for next 1,350,000 miles. To fix this and reset your counters you use [Preferences - Equipment] screen.

The driver can print the service records. See [Maintenance print out] section for an example.
