Preferences - Web features

Under the Tools & Preferences / Driver Information there is a blue panel that contains features that require Internet connection.

Use of any of the buttons located in this blue area will initiate an Internet connection to our server and will exchange data with it.

What data is being exchanged? Largo software is up front about our products, and we believe that the user should know what if any data is exchanged with any remote computer. If you would like to verify the correctness of the information regarding the communication with our server you can use this powerful network sniffer [http://www.wireshark.org/] from Wire Shark project. This will show you ALL the traffic going in and out from your computer.

Email setting

The settings for the Email notifications about updates and new versions is actually on our server, not on your copy of the program. By using the check box and clicking the button on this screen you can tell our server whether or not you want to receive the email notifications.

Data sent

1) Your license identification key (identifies you to us)

2) Flag (yes/no) for the email settings.

Website

This button juts starts your system default web browser and loads in www.largosoftware.com web page.

Data sent:

Feature request or bug report

This will bring up a box like this one:

Here you can enter your wishes or complains a bout something not working right, and request technical support. Largo Software support will be notified and one of us will follow up on the request.

The first two check boxes will cause the software to attach two more pieces of information to the message, The error log and the computer information. If you do not want to send either of those two pieces of information simply un-check the boxes before sending the message.

Data sent:

1) Your license identification key (identifies you to us)

2) The message you typed.

3) (optional) Error log file (C:\Nautilus\error.log)

4) (Optional) Your System information.

The system information sent would look like this:
